Introducing 'tudes

I am extremely pleased to announce that I’ve undertaken a new project and am working on a book of short, technically challenging character pieces for the solo double bass that I’m calling “‘tudes.” These pieces use a lot of the extended techniques and different textures I employ in my own playing, and the book will be available for download and hopefully in print sometime in 2027. The download will come with instructional videos for some of the more unusual techniques you’ll find in the pieces. My hope is that these will be short, sweet and satisfying to play, either in a concert setting or as skill builders for you and your students.
